“2023 is my year to get in shape.” “I’m going to start my business this year.” “Finally, I’m going to start showering.” We know those pesky News Year’s resolutions are hard to stick to. We unfortunately can’t help you with getting fit, starting a business, or basic hygiene.
But what we can help you with is making sure you are up to date on all the latest Ohio Public Records Law this year. We’re meeting around the clock to get ready! Make sure you subscribe and share with others who would benefit from this content and the member exclusive webinars to come this year.
Fun Fact
Imagine your office receives a public records request for documents you clearly have posted on your agency website. Must you respond to the request at all? Yes. The Public Records Act requires an office to provide prompt inspection or copies within a reasonable period of time. This means that even if you have the records posted on your website, you must still respond to the request within a reasonable amount of time and direct the requestor to where they can access them. Not everyone may have access to the internet! Lucky them.
